Note on vehicle compatibility
Fitment & installation
- Models: fits only the CLS X218 Shooting Brake. Fitting to the saloon has not been tested.
- AMG models: the bonnet add-on cannot be fitted. The front bumper is adapted in the area of the powerdomes so that it is perfectly flush with the AMG bonnet.
- Clearance: the front fenders and rear quarter panels are modified accordingly.
- Rear bumper: should be completed with AMG 63 tailpipes (not included in the scope of delivery).
Road approval / TÜV
Material certificate only
Supplied with material certificate only. Individual approval according to § 21 StVZO is required for road use in Germany.
Material & workmanship
Our product is made from the fiberglass mix of highest quality, certified by TÜV Rheinland. This material is characterized by a smooth, stylish, high-end surface finish that provides sufficient flexibility combined with a decent stability. Therefore it doesn’t require more than few touches of waterpaper before being painted in preferred colour. All of the body kit’s parts are made with a superb fitment without the need for getting prior modifications or alterations. It undoubtedly minimizes the costs of potential reconstruction. The body kit installation should be conducted only in proven and reliable workshops or by experts with fiberglass work history background.
Note
The standard or retrofitted exhaust system must be adapted accordingly or combined with suitable tailpipes. On request, we can offer you matching tailpipes, a matching stainless steel rear silencer or a complete exhaust system.
Our products are made from high-quality GRP (glass-fibre reinforced plastic). This material has a surface structure that is easy to work with and offers sufficient flexibility combined with high stability. Please note that these are aftermarket accessory parts. We therefore generally recommend a test fitting, including any necessary adjustments, before painting. In some cases, the parts may need to be treated with spray filler before being primed and prepared for painting. As a rule, fitting and painting should only be carried out by experienced persons or by a professional specialist workshop.
